Fortnite forced to fix bug that basically gave everyone wall hacks
Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 3 hasn't been smooth sailing for Epic Games, but a new bug has popped up that shows everyone on the minimap, allows random players to join your team, and enables friendly fire to force Epic Games to launch And released a hotfix late last night.
The problem started on June 30, when all players' locations were displayed on the map - a bit like how drones work in Call of Duty: Warzone. However, instead of appearing as an enemy, the player appears as a teammate. When this happens, players are randomly eliminated and you can edit builds that don't even belong to you.
What's even crazier is that solo players are able to team up with random players in their lobbies -- some of whom end up kicked for straying -- and have friendly fire enabled. In other words, it created absolute chaos.
It has also been found that single player players have the option to restart other players with this bug, although the perk is usually reserved for duo and squad games.

It's unclear exactly what's causing these glitches, but Epic Games was able to nip things in the bud quickly before things got out of hand. "We recently fixed an issue that allowed teammates to appear on different teams and eliminate each other," Fortnite Status said.
So if you were hit by this weird and wonderful bug last night, you'll be happy to know that peace has been restored, and the bug that basically got everyone walled off has now been removed.
But how long will this last? The season has been plagued by issues so far, and the developers don't seem ready to turn things around.
