When you get the Greater Rune of Godric in Elden Ring, you will need to activate it to gain its power. This game has a variety of key items to help you on your quests. The best among them are the Greater Runes, which drop from the main bosses of the game called Demigods. But just hitting them is not enough, as the runes will be powerless. This guide will tell you where to restore Godric's Great Rune in Elden Ring.

How to get to Limgrave's Divine Tower and activate Godric's Greater Rune in Elden Ring

We assume that you already have this great rune. But if not, then go to Stormvale Castle in Limgrave and defeat Godric the grafted. He will drop his Greater Rune, but the game will inform you that it has lost its power.


To activate the Great Rune of Godric, you need to climb the Limgrave Divine Tower east of Stormvale Castle and restore its power. To get to the Divine Tower:

• Fast travel to the Place of Grace in Liftside Hall.
• Then exit the east doorway into the courtyard.
• Eliminate the enemies and archers on your way and turn left to go to the main entrance.
• Go down the stone stairs and run through all the enemies.
• Once you get to the gate, look around and you'll find enemies on platforms with huge crossbows.
• Destroy them one by one with ranged weapons or run to the end avoiding huge bolts.
• You will then reach a gate guarded by a Lion with a blade. Run past it and enter the gate to rest on the Grace Bridge.
• Then head towards the bridge and you will encounter three huge golems. Trick them into hitting each other and defeat them.
• After defeating the golems, go past them and find a portal.

Activating the Great Rune of Godric

Once you reach the portal, interact with it to enter Limgrave's Divine Tower. There will be no enemies here that could jump on you, so be carefree. Open the tower gate and take the elevator up. Then rest at the Place of Grace and go upstairs. At the top of the Divine Tower, interact with the floating Spot of Grace to activate the power of the Great Rune. Once activated, you can use rune arcs to boost all of your attributes by +5 until death.
