Glacius is a spell used to freeze enemies. This spell will be taught to you by Madam Kogwa after you complete the first Flight Mission. The task is quite simple and will rely solely on Flying. But completing this assignment will help you learn this new spell.

How to get the Glacius Charm in Hogwarts Legacy

After Percival Rekham's Trial Quest, you will return to your room at Hogwarts. As soon as you control yourself, press the M button to open the map to find the available side missions. Madame Kogwa will send you an Owl Post regarding a task you must complete and report back to her. Madame Kogwa is your flight Professor, so this mission will be based on your flying skills.


You can follow this side quest at Hogsmeade Station, but you don't have to go anywhere and interact with anyone to start this side quest. You can quickly start and finish this mission at any time by going to the Missions Menu and then selecting the "Watch this Mission" option.

Then follow the yellow road until you reach the outside of Hogwarts. Your main task is to burst balloons in two different places. Don't worry because there is no time limit and you can take the time to do it. You'll need to pop five balloons at Hogsmeade Station and five at Quidditch Pitch.

I tried Hogsmeade Station first and all you have to do is follow the white marker on the minimap to Hogsmeade Station with your broom and you will find blue balloons with golden stars floating in the air. All you have to do to pop these balloons is to fly through them. They are very close to each other and if you get confused remember that those balloons will only be inside the purple circle and you can easily spot them.

After popping the balloons, return to the Quidditch Pitch. Just follow the white marker on your minimap and you can get there quickly. Pop the balloons using the same techniques in Quidditch Pitch and you're done.

Return to Madam Kogawa by following the yellow marker and interacting with it. After the cutscene, he will finally teach you a new spell known as Glacius.
