Minecraft “Trails & Tales” Update 1.20 Main Features

Mojang has announced that the upcoming update will be called Minecraft Trails & Tales 1.20. In addition, the team unveiled its key features, which you can find below.

There is currently no ETA as to when this update will be released. However, we will definitely let you know as soon as it goes live. So, without further ado, let's take a look at what's in store for us in the Trails & Tales update.

Minecraft “Trails & Tales” Update 1.20 Main Features

  • camels. Players can find the friendly new camel mob in desert villages. In addition, up to two players can drive it at the same time. Camels can also be quite swift, and riders are safe from enemy mob attacks while perched high on their humps, so camels are perfect for long treks through the overworld.
  • The Bamboo Wood Set. Like other types of wood, you can craft things like slabs and stairs, but bamboo also brings you tesserae blocks, perfect for flooring and creating a beautiful raft.
  • Carved bookshelves. Do you have a lot of books and need a place to display them? You can build your own sculpted bookshelf to store books, keeping all your stories safe and sound.
  • hanging signs. Hanging signs can be crafted from any type of wood and arranged in all sorts of cool ways, along with custom text to add that extra something to your bases and builds. Place them under or to the side of blocks for that finishing touch!
  • armor parts. You can customize your armor with new Armor Adornments! Armor ornaments come in multiple patterns, which you can find in the form of forge templates hidden around the Minecraft world.
  • New mob head functionality. This update also adds a brand new mob head for players to collect - the Piglin Head! Players can wear it or power it with Redstone, causing ears to wiggle. Additionally, mob heads placed on note pads now play the appropriate mob sound effects!
  • Archeology. The new archeology system is multi-component and introduces a new crafting tool (the paintbrush) and new blocks (suspicious sand and decorative pots) as well as changes to desert temples and wells.
  • The snoop. The snoop is an ancient creature found in eggs dug up from suspicious sands. They hatch into baby snuffles who, once fully grown, can help you find seeds of ancient plants like the torch flower that can add some prehistoric flair to your world!
  • Cherry blossom biome and wood set. Are you ready for Minecraft 1.20 to bring a rare and most importantly PINK biome to the overworld!? The beautiful cherry blossom biome is full of cherry blossom trees that offer a unique view of the horizon. The cherry tree can be disassembled into a complete wooden set. You can also find cherry tree seedlings so you can plant them wherever you want.
