The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition Update 1.1 released, aims to improve performance, full patch notes



Private Division has released the first update for The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, which aims to improve its performance. Additionally, this patch will reduce the shader build failures that PC players have been experiencing.


Going into more detail, Update 1.1 tweaks settings for Ultra and Very High graphics modes, improving the experience for PC gamers on high-end graphics cards. In other words, some will consider this optimization as a “downgrade”.


Additionally, this patch fixes issues with SSGI being set inappropriately high on the PC, impacting performance. In addition, it brings HLOD improvements to reduce popping on all platforms.

  • Fixed skin shading issues seen on some companions on Xbox Series S
